Hiatus Announcement

Hello!

This is a bit of a strange one to write, and I’m sure it’ll end up being an equally strange one to read as well, but this is an announcement I’ve been excited to make for a long time.

There’s a lot of info and logistics to come, but to cut to the chase, I’m starting a brand new project! (And I think you’re going to like it!)

It’s been my dream for a while now to find a way to organize some sort of support system for independent creatives, and I think I’ve finally figured out a real way to do that.

My hope is to find a way to regularly pay creatives for their work in a manner that’s sustainable AND honours the incredible amount of work that we all put into our respective crafts on the regular, but that’s a tall order when we all tend to be in very similar boats—fighting for what little attention seems to be left in this digital ecosystem of ours.

I won’t say too much else here to avoid overwhelming anyone with information, BUT…

If you’re a creative of any kind—a writer, an artist, a photographer, a filmmaker, or whatever—I truly think what’s coming down the pipeline will be something to get excited about.

What does this mean for 100 Things?

For better or for worse, I will be ending this series to focus on what’s coming. Between my upcoming book, this new project, and going back to school in the fall, it seems like it’s time to say a temporary goodbye to 100 Things.

It’s not forever, and I do have some fun ideas planned for the future of this series, but for now, I plan to close the 100 Things page once this new project has fully launched.
